Fisher men in Sri Lanka

I went for a trip to Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka is where I was born
I haven't visited for 24 years, since I was born
The war has finished and country was proceeding for a new direction
I had a chance to visit both east and west coast
Even Sri Lanka is not a big country, east and west coast was different climate,
different people, different language, different fish and different color of sea

" The fisherman"
He was cleaning squids
near Dehiwala station

East coast- Kalmunai
East coast was good weather, dry and cool but sunny
Most of fisher men I met were Tamil people, easy going, cheerful and kind
When they work, they work hard but other time, they rest well

Turning the boat direction
Some of them are going to night fishing to settle a net
(At Batticaloa)

Pulling a net that set last night
(At Kalmunai)

And pulling the boat out from sea

Taking all the jelly fishes that were caught in the net

It seemed it was a large catch but actually it was all jelly fish
What they got was just this much of fish

After they got fish, they started cleaning
They were little bit disappointed by the result

Morning fisherman, net fishing

West coast near Colombo
I walked the beach many many times
Most of the people here is Sinhalese
My impression of them are little bit cool and strict than Tamil people
But they were nice to me too

Great dad

Coming back from night fishing

Exporting fish tank
These beautiful fishes are going to be exported to Japan, China and around the world
I did not know that fishes that I see in pet shop have such a journey
There were many beautiful fishes
